St Marys Senior Activity Center

The St. Marys Senior Activity Center is a vibrant, welcoming hub dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through wellness, education, creativity, and community connection. Serving over 1,700 active members, our center has experienced tremendous growth, providing programs and services that empower seniors to lead active, engaged, and fulfilling lives.

In 2025, we proudly served 6,648 lunches, a significant increase from 3,977 the previous year, reflecting the trust and engagement of our community. Our center offers 19 fitness classes, including Zumba, Tai Chi, Cheer Yoga, indoor cardio, and walking programs, helping members maintain health, mobility, and vitality.

Creativity and lifelong learning are at the heart of our programming. Members participate in arts and crafts classes such as sewing, crochet, knitting, needlepoint, painting, watercolor, and acrylics, as well as collaborative projects, including an upcoming member-created mural, fostering teamwork, pride, and self-expression. Educational opportunities include health awareness presentations, lectures, workshops, digital literacy support, Medicare guidance, and legal assistance, all free to our members.

Our commitment to social engagement and cultural enrichment is unmatched. We host clubs, hobby groups, fellowship opportunities, live musical performances, and citywide events such as our first-ever Senior Expo, designed specifically for our members’ needs. Special celebrations like our Senior Prom, multiple dances throughout the year, and fully funded outings ensure that every member can participate in meaningful and memorable experiences.

The St. Marys Senior Activity Center has grown into a model of excellence by combining innovation, inclusivity, and personalized support. From thousands of meals served to nearly twenty fitness programs, extensive arts and educational offerings, cultural performances, and fully supported social experiences, we continue to empower, inspire, and enrich the lives of seniors every day.
