About
About Fusion CPA
Fusion CPA has run on EOS (the Entrepreneurial Operating System) since 2015, and we’re an AI-native firm. We aren’t tied to any one vendor. We evaluate and adopt the best technology and AI tools available, then build them into our own operating system to handle the repetitive parts of tax and accounting work. That frees our CPAs to spend their time on judgment, planning, and conversations with clients. It’s how a team of about 25 serves clients at the level of a much larger firm.
Our main operating office is at 1100 Peachtree St NE in Midtown Atlanta. We also have offices in San Juan, Puerto Rico; Park City, Utah; Aspen, Colorado; Tampa, Florida; and Nashville, Tennessee. We’ve supported more than 2,000 businesses, serve clients in 40+ states, and hold a 5.0 Google rating across more than 100 reviews. Fusion CPA is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs, and is affiliated with Entrepreneurs’ Organization and the UHNW Institute.
About Trevor McCandless, CPA, MTax — Founder & CEO
Trevor McCandless founded Fusion CPA in Atlanta in 2011. He launched the firm’s outsourced accounting practice in 2013, and in 2015 he moved the firm onto EOS, the operating system it still runs on today. Under his leadership, Fusion has grown into a team of about 25, with offices in six markets and clients in more than 40 states.
Trevor is a licensed CPA and earned his Master of Taxation from Georgia State University in Atlanta. He works directly with clients on the highest-stakes parts of their finances: tax strategy, entity structure, and long-term planning. He leads Fusion’s advisory and CFO practice, and his client work spans real estate, private equity, healthcare and MSOs, law firms, and technology companies.
Estate and succession planning is a particular focus. Trevor works with business-owning families on how ownership, wealth, and leadership pass to the next generation. That work ties directly into Fusion’s family retreat offering, where owners and their families plan the transition together.
He also drives the firm’s technology and AI strategy, and his approach is provider-agnostic. Fusion uses whatever technology and AI tools serve clients best, regardless of vendor. Trevor is leading the build of the firm’s own AI operating system around those tools. It includes structured workflows for tax return preparation and review, a daily operations brief for the team, and firm-wide knowledge search. His goal is to use AI to serve clients better and faster, so more of the team’s time goes to the advice clients rely on.
