Estrellita, Georgia’s first full-service Filipino restaurant, quietly stands as a beacon for Filipino food lovers, offering bold Pinoy flavors and carefully crafted cocktails. Owners Walter Cortado and Hope Webb, with a deep sense of purpose, have set out to share not only their cuisine but also their culture, fostering a supportive space for aspiring chefs and restaurateurs within the Filipino food industry.

Opening its doors amid the challenges of the 2020 pandemic, Estrellita faced its struggles with quiet resilience, buoyed by the unwavering support of its loyal patrons. Their perseverance was rewarded in 2023 and 2024 when they earned the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand, one of only ten restaurants in Atlanta and one of four Filipino establishments worldwide to receive such recognition. They attribute their award to their devoted customers and their brothers and sisters peddling Filipino Food in the south.

Through their work, Walter and Hope have remained steadfast in their commitment to the community. As founder of Filipino Food ATL, a non-profit 501c3, their forum has become a hub for connecting small Filipino food businesses in the region. Estrellita also champions women in the culinary world through Dame Hope Webb’s involvement with Les Dames d’Escoffier International, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women in hospitality.
