My Hearing Haven

I’ve been deaf since I was two. Growing up, my parents struggled to afford good hearing aid technology because it was always so expensive. I wore Phonak hearing aids, but the air was always louder than the voices — I could barely hear anyone talking to me. My hearing aids constantly broke, and the company would never fix them. They forced us to buy a new set, which we couldn’t afford, so my parents always had to find ways to get me another pair because I was in school and couldn’t hear at all without them.

Down the road, my parents decided, “Why don’t we use our tax returns to open a hearing business and help people hear better — and actually take care of them?” So they did. They told every company that wanted us to sell their hearing aids that they wouldn’t do it unless the technology could make me hear. We were flown out by all kinds of companies, and the only one that could truly help me hear was Signia.

We’ve been selling and supporting Signia hearing aids since I was 12. I’m now 24, and I’ve opened my own practice with my husband, alongside my mom’s practice. Together, we continue to help people hear better with Signia — the only brand that’s ever made hearing possible for me.
