Master Renard Beaty would like to be known as a self-defense instructor. In that way, he is a 5^th degree Master Martial Arts Instructor in Tang Soo Do, a self-defense art made famous in movies by Chuck Norris. 

He has over 25 years instructing and mentoring students of all ages, from his time as a leadership and management trainer to mentoring new managers in corporations to 13 years teaching martial arts self-defense in his own business. The training focuses on four key area of a student development, physical, emotional, social, and critical thinking skills.

His philosophy? You can avoid threatening situations by proper planning and preparedness. Good, effective, training leads to conditioning. Conditioning  leads to consistent behavior. Consistent behavior leads to confidence. Training, conditioning and confidence reduces the possibility of applying the physical skills of Tang Soo Do.

Kick Start Martial Arts earned the Best Martial Arts Instruction 5 years in a row. KSMA was selected as the Best Martial Arts School in Atlanta three years in a row.
