Sweety's Cafe & Tea Room

Sweety’s is the passion venture of owner Cheryl Lott. After 20+ years as a stay-at-home mom raising her five children, Cheryl was ready to begin a new chapter. In April 2022, she launched her dream of creating a charming café and tea room—a place rooted in warmth, hospitality, and family.

The name “Sweety’s” is a heartfelt tribute to Cheryl’s beloved mother-in-law, who has inspired her for over 30 years to love others through food. Many of the recipes served at Sweety’s are cherished family favorites, enjoyed by the Lott family for more than five decades.

Cheryl first introduced her signature chicken salads at the Canton Farmers Market, with hopes of opening a brick-and-mortar shop one day. In September 2022, a chance meeting with Talia at her local ice cream shop sparked a partnership, and by February 2023, Sweety’s Café and Ice Cream Bar officially opened its doors.

In December 2023, Cheryl expanded Sweety’s to include tea service—bringing an entirely new layer of charm and hospitality. As word spread, Tea at Sweety’s quickly became a favorite among guests seeking a soothing and memorable experience.

Sweety’s is proud to carry on the legacy of Tea Leaves & Thyme, a beloved Woodstock tea room founded by Kim Jordy. Cheryl, a longtime fan of Kim’s blends and traditions, is honored to now serve those same high-quality teas at Sweety’s.

“To serve such delicious and high-quality tea blends is something I’ve dreamed of since we began our Tea for Two boxes in late 2023. It was truly divine timing when Kim and I connected, and I’m thrilled to see Tea at Sweety’s thrive—bringing together both old and new generations of tea-goers.”

In October 2024, Cheryl and her husband, Carey became the sole owners of Sweety’s, proudly solidifying its place as a true locally owned, family-operated business in the heart of Canton.
