Georgia Kangaroos

About the Georgia Kangaroos

The Georgia Kangaroos are a professional basketball organization based in Canton, Georgia, representing Cherokee County and the greater North Georgia community.

The Kangaroos were created with a straightforward purpose: provide talented basketball players with a legitimate opportunity to continue competing beyond the college level while building a professional team that its community can call its own.

The organization is owned and operated by Kangaroo Sports, Inc., under the leadership of owner and Head Coach Brian Caswell. Over the years, the Kangaroos have focused on developing players, creating opportunities, competing at the professional level, and establishing a sustainable basketball organization built for long-term growth.

A New Chapter

The Georgia Kangaroos are now preparing for the next chapter in the organization's history as a member of the United States Basketball Championship (USBC), produced by the United States Basketball Network (USBN).

Beginning with the 2027 USBC season, the Kangaroos will compete in the USBC Champion League as one of six teams participating in the league's inaugural season. The competition is part of USBN's larger vision for a multi-level professional basketball system featuring promotion and relegation and providing players, teams, communities, and businesses with opportunities to participate in professional basketball outside the NBA.

For the Kangaroos, that means building more than a roster. The organization is working to create a team that North Georgia basketball fans can follow, attend, support, and grow with season after season.

Players and Opportunity

Player opportunity has always been central to the Georgia Kangaroos.

The organization seeks players who can contribute both on and off the court—athletes who want to compete, continue developing, represent their team professionally, and take advantage of opportunities that extend beyond the game itself.

Through the USBN ecosystem and USBNsi Sports Intelligence, Kangaroos players can be connected to additional resources such as the Player Market and Athlete Market, designed to create basketball and commercial opportunities for athletes.

Representing North Georgia

Based in Canton, Georgia, the Kangaroos are committed to building a strong connection with Cherokee County and the surrounding North Georgia communities.

The long-term objective is to make Georgia Kangaroos basketball more than games on a schedule. The organization is building a professional sports property where fans can know the players, local businesses can participate, young athletes can see another level of basketball in their own community, and families can experience professional basketball close to home.

As the Kangaroos prepare for the 2027 season, the mission remains simple:

Build the team. Develop the players. Represent the community. Grow the game.
