Nomadic-Tails: Mobile Grooming

Let's start from the beginning, from an early age I always knew I was a crazy dog person. If you ask my mom, she will tell you that I begged her for my first dog at a very young age. When I was around three years old my parents took me to pick out my best friend. Rusty was a salt and pepper miniature schnauzer puppy that put up with me and all my crazy childhood antics. Rusty was what you would call the perfect dog. When I turned 18, I had to say goodbye to my best friend. After I lost Rusty life didn't feel quite the same without a furry little bearded creature following me throughout the house.

 Then one day everything changed, I stumbled upon this long-legged awkwardly portioned schnauzer puppy that was given back by his original owners. I never would have thought that such a little gremlin would have such a huge impact on my life as he has. Charlie devoured my sneakers, chewed through the corner of my bed, and ruled the house like he was the king he knew he was.

That long-legged puppy ended us both at a local pet store where we signed up for some much-needed training. After a few classes with Noelle, I noticed there was a career day at the store. Long story short, I got the job. Then I spent the next two years bathing and pampering pups. I learned a lot from one groomer, in particular, who helped me perfect Charlie's breed clip. She gifted me with my first pair of shears, a pair I still use to this day. I never looked back.

Fast forward a few years and a few more pups added to my small furry little family, I took a scary leap of faith and left the local pet store to work out of an animal hospital. This was an entirely new world for me. My partner and I became closer and closer over the years. Slowly I started teaching her the trade before she even realized it. The year 2019 was our year. We ventured to our first grooming expo together where we fell in love with the idea of Mobile Grooming. We knew we had to take the leap of faith and go all in. I still remember the first conversation I had with my mother, she thought we were crazy. Over time she fell in love with the idea as much as we did. That's when we created Nomadic-Tails. We picked up our very first 2019 Wag'n Tails van from Granger, Indiana. We have not looked back since. Grooming is my passion and animals are my world. I couldn't be more blessed to be living this life and pamper pups on a daily basis. 

Our mobile grooming salon is a doggie spa on wheels, we come to you. We provide our own water and electricity. This means no unnecessary mess and cleanup for you. No more anxious car rides to the groomers instead we are parked in the driveway. We provide a one on one experience for your pups, no kennels, no other dogs, and less time spent away from you. All of our mobile services include specialty shampoo and conditioners formulated each visit for your pup's needs. Shampoo companies such as Best Shot give us the confidence in knowing we are doing our very best when caring for your furbaby. We are an "all-inclusive" salon. What does this mean? These means we provide nail grinding, a lavender facial, breath refresh, themed picture at no additional cost to you. Anything we would do for our pups, we would do for yours. After all, your pets are family. During your visit, we will provide you with updates and pictures of your pampered pooch during their spa day to give you the peace of mind knowing they are in the best care possible.
