Horton’s Pet Haven

Although Horton’s Pet Haven officially opened in 2021, my journey in professional pet care began after I was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 2011. Caring for animals has always been more than a job to me. It’s been my passion.

From 2011 to 2014, I gained hands-on experience as a kennel technician, pet store associate, and veterinary technician, building the knowledge and skills that continue to guide my business today. Horton’s Pet Haven first began as K.W. Pet Daycare & Boarding at my parents’ home. Since then, life has brought many changes. I started a family, moved from Decatur to Conyers, earned my MBA, navigated the challenges of COVID, and eventually left my corporate career to pursue my passion full-time.

Today, Horton’s Pet Haven is more than a pet boarding business. It’s a place where pets are treated like family and owners can leave with complete peace of mind. One of my greatest honors is that I still care for clients who trusted me when I first started all those years ago. Their loyalty means the world to me and reminds me why I love what I do every single day.

I’m incredibly honored that Horton’s Pet Haven has been recognized as Best of the Best Rockdale/Newton 2023, Best of Georgia 2024, and Best of Georgia Regional 2025. These awards are a reflection of the amazing clients and pets who have become part of our family. I look forward to continuing to provide a safe, loving, and fun home away from home for many years to come.
