House Of Applejay Distillery
Since 2023, House of Applejay has been crafting all-natural fine spirits and liqueurs in East Ellijay, Georgia. Founded by Caroline Porsiel, the distillery identifies as liqueurists, celebrating the heritage of liqueur making—the oldest and most complex of all spirit categories—while blending European tradition with American modern style.
In 2024, House of Applejay opened for tastings and tours, connecting visitors to its spirits, history, and cocktail culture. Recognition followed swiftly: five medals at the New York World Spirits Competition, including Gold, and in 2025 a Double Gold in San Francisco for Cherry Mountain Liqueur—the only U.S. fruit liqueur to earn that title in 2025.
The lineup includes Applejay from Ellijay, Mt. Frozen Knob Vodka, Mt. Grassy Knob Vodka, Mt. Wildcat Old-Style Juniper, and Cherry Mountain Liqueur—crafted for sipping neat or for modern cocktails like the Wildcat Tonic and Appalachian Mary.
