About Ellijay City Church
Ellijay City Church is a Spirit-filled, Spirit-led, non-denominational church family in the heart of the North Georgia mountains. Every Sunday at 9:00 and 11:00 AM, people from every background, and plenty with no church background at all, gather at 443 Pleasant Grove Road to worship, open the Word together, and make room for the Holy Spirit to move. On Tuesday nights the church comes back together for Bible study at 6:00 and prayer at 7:00, while City Youth meets from 6:00 to 8:00.
Our invitation is simple: come as you are and encounter God with us. We believe God is still healing, restoring, and setting people free today, and we've built our church so that anyone who walks through the door can experience that for themselves.
Our Culture: Kingdom Culture
At ECC, we call our way of life Kingdom Culture: living heaven's way, right here in Ellijay. It rests on four pillars:
- King: Every person is met with acceptance, honor, and value.
- Power: We live in the Spirit and aren't afraid to take risks.
- Spirit: We expect the supernatural to show up in everyday life.
- Family: We do life together.
Those pillars sit on four cornerstones that shape how we think and act: God is good, so we dream big. Nothing is impossible, so we take risks. Jesus' blood paid for everything, so we trust Him completely. We are significant, so we serve well.
More than anything, we believe God never set out to start a religion. He set out to build a family. That's why our church is led by couples who were close friends long before they were co-leaders. Pastors Josh and Katrina Quigley lead alongside three other couples, and the friendship among them sets the tone for the whole church. Visitors often tell us they felt it the moment they arrived: there's a seat at the table for everyone.
Our Organization and Community Impact
Ellijay City Church serves every age and every story in Gilmer County through a set of ministries that each meet a real need:
- City Kids (K–5): A safe, fun place where children meet Jesus and learn that God is good.
- City Youth (6–12): A weekly home for students every Tuesday night.
- Fresh Start Ministry: A court-approved, faith-based recovery and discipleship program that helps people rebuild their lives. It meets Sundays at 2:00 PM.
- Rooted Inner Healing: One-on-one prayer ministry for the hurts of the heart, focused on healing, restoration, and freedom in Jesus.
- Prayer Ministry: A team that stands with anyone in need, in person on Sundays, at Tuesday-night prayer, or through private online requests.
- Ellijay Hub and Gilmer County Help: Resources that connect neighbors with practical support across our community.
We're also growing. A full sanctuary renovation is underway at Ellijay City Church, designed to give more of Ellijay room to worship and encounter God.
This award belongs to our church family: the volunteers, worship team, kids' and youth leaders, prayer warriors, and every person who has invited a friend. Thank you to everyone who voted. We're honored, and we're just getting started.
