The AFTER Organization (Advocating For The Exceptional and Rare) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping families navigate the complex intersection of healthcare, disability, education, and community systems.

Serving families throughout Florida and Georgia, we specialize in supporting children with complex medical conditions, rare diseases, disabilities, developmental differences, and other specialized healthcare needs.

When a child has multiple specialists, therapies, educational services, and care plans, families often become the coordinators of an incredibly complicated system. We exist to ensure they don't have to navigate that journey alone.

Our work focuses on helping families:

We recognize that a child's medical needs do not exist in isolation. Healthcare, education, mental health, and family well-being are deeply connected. By helping families understand how these systems work together, we empower them to make informed decisions that place the child's individual needs first.

In addition to medical advocacy, The AFTER Organization provides educational advocacy, family navigation, professional education, community partnerships, and innovative learning initiatives—including our Big Brain Box™ STEM program designed to inspire curiosity and support diverse learners.
