DIY Mediations

The goal of DiY Mediations is to assist those persons who want to "Do It Themselves" - with or without attorneys - but who need some assistance in reaching a fair agreement and completing the Court-mandated paperwork.  The Mediation will occur in a professional office, conveniently located in the Evans Business Center at 119 N. Belair Road, in Evans, Columbia County, Georgia 30809.  If it is a Family Law dispute, and there are allegations of domestic violence made by either party, the Mediation must occur in the County Courthouse. 

The Mediators of DiY Mediations are equipped to serve as neutrals in not only Family Law disputes, but also Landlord-Tenant disputes, Small Claims Court matters, Claims for Personal Injuries and/or Property Damages, Probate and Guardianship disputes, and other Civil matters.  Criminal matters are not able to be mediated. 

If the parties are successful in resolving some or all of their contested issues during the Mediation, the Settlement Agreement, Parenting Plan, Child Support documents, and/or other Court-mandated paperwork will be prepared by the Mediators, and each party will leave the Session with signed, original settlement documents.  

If all parties come prepared, all issues can typically be resolved in 3-5 hours, at a minimum expense to each party. Appointments are typically made within two weeks of an inquiry, and Sessions can be held virtually if a party or counsel is out-of-town.  We look forward to serving you and your clients!
