Cool River Tubing

Cool River Tubing, located in Alpine Helen, is one of Georgia’s favorite summer adventures. Family-owned and operated, Cool River has welcomed visitors for many decades to float the scenic Chattahoochee River with comfort and fun in mind. 

We are known for our friendly staff, smooth operation, and top-notch facilities. With all gear included—a tube (green, blue, or yellow), a life jacket, tie straps, and shuttle—Cool River offers an affordable, flexible, and family-friendly outing for all ages; even dogs are welcome!. Offering both short and long river trips, Cool River makes it easy to "Shoot the ’Hooch" your way.

Cool River operates from multiple convenient outposts in Helen, including Chattahoochee Outpost (at the trip exit), Headwaters Outpost (at the head of the river), and Main Street ticket booth (downtown). Our outposts offer easy access to the river, shuttle transportation, and top on-site amenities. We offer free parking, showers, lockers, picnic areas, two gift shops, and an ice cream shop. At Headwaters Outpost, there is also an aerial adventure park and a café + ice cream shop with deck seating, making it a great stop for families and thrill-seekers alike.
