About

The Art Center, a nonprofit 501c3 organization, promotes community by serving as common ground where individuals of all backgrounds, ages and walks of life can meet, create, socialize and unite as arts participants. We are committed to enriching the lives of area residents and those living in the surrounding communities by providing an array of art experiences and culturally stimulating opportunities. Outreach is paramount in the planning and execution of our programming. Working with other nonprofits, cities and counties we ensure delivery of the arts to underserved audiences. Our values and dedication to serve reflect the principles and beliefs that have driven The Art Center's work for the past 29 years. Because of our sincere passion to delivery the arts to all, The Art Center received the Governor's 2024 Sward in Arts and Humanities. The Art Center boasts an outstanding ceramic studio and classes in a wide variety media, an expansive outreach program conducting classes and workshops in more than a dozen locations, including the Title 1 schools; Esther Jackson, Mimosa, and Vickery Mill and the Drake House in Roswell and a senior program at Newtown Park. Each year we conduct more than 225 8-week visual art classes for youth and adults. The Art Center offers an expansive summer camp program with 70 1-week art camps. With a strong commitment to supporting area artists we present 15 exhibitions annually. We provide afterschool art enrichment classes at 8 Fulton County Elementary Schools, we award scholarships for those who cannot afford to pay for art classes/camps.
