Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance is devoted to developing every student to their fullest potential. We are intricately invested in each student’s development and success. By motivating and encouraging our students to achieve their personal best, AABD is training the next generation of quality dancers. Curriculum AABD is proud to be a licensed studio of the Leap ‘N Learn Preschool ballet curriculum. Leap ‘N Learn is an effective, safe, progressive, and developmentally appropriate dance program for beginning ballet. AABD also includes the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum. This program incorporates classical ballet principles and elements of French, Italian and Russian schools of training. The ABT National Training Curriculum strives to provide students with a rich knowledge of classical ballet technique and the ability to adapt to all styles and techniques of dance. Age-appropriate guidelines help provide the highest quality of ballet training to students of all ages and skill levels and may include optional yearly exams for ABT certification. Susan Beebe has successfully completed the ABT Instructor Training Program in Pre-Primary through Level 7 as well as Partnering. AABD also incorporates Revolutionary Principles of Movement, a proactive theory designed to keep students safe and injury free by applying principles of kinesiology and anatomy. The best injury prevention rests in the hands of our instructors, who must understand individual body structures and the need to adapt training procedures to suit each student. Staff is also certified in Revolutionary Principles of Movement, Progressive Ballet Technique, Perfect Form Physiotherapy, Barre Fitness, Acro for Dance and Total Barre Conditioning.
