Fur'st Choice Pet Care

As a child I was fortunate to grow up on a farm and be involved with caring for exotic and domestic farm animals. It was there I decided my career path was going to have to involve animals. I graduated from Gwinnett Technical College in 2012 with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. After graduation, I passed the RVT Board exam with the State of Georgia, and was in practice with VCA Peachtree Animal hospital for 7 years as their Lead Technician. When my husband and I had our second child I decided it was time to be a stay at home mom while continuing to serving my passion to care for animals, this is when I started Fur'st Choice Pet Care - A pet sitting and dog walking service offering folks a veterinary professional to care for their pets in their absence, and in the animals own home where they feel the safest. While not all of our sitters are Veterinary Professionals, each territory does employ a veterinary professional and we hold all of our sitters to those standards.

  • Give owners peace of mind knowing their pets not only have someone to walk and feed them but also has the knowledge to properly administer medications, knows what to do in case of an emergency, and someone who understands each pet has different needs and levels of care.
  • Bring jobs with low stress, flexible schedules, and supplemental income to communities everywhere!
  • Give Veterinary Professionals an opportunity to make some extra money pet sitting and have the back up of insurance and a team like atmosphere. Most veterinary professionals are already doing pet sitting on the side, and I would like to offer them a back up and a means for them to choose when they work and for Fur'st Choice to do the work for them so they feel supported. 

While the company is growing, I understand that sometimes standard quality of care can decrease - it is our goal to maintain the quality of care throughout all of our territories!

  • Listen to feedback from territory managers and sitters to make changes as necessary
  • Ensure pet sitter safety and happiness while they work with us because they are truly the backbone of they quality of care we provide and our success!
  • Maintain client satisfaction by listening to feedback, providing all clients with the ability to be able to correspond directly with the manager of their territory to ensure your personal needs are met.
