Yams Foods, a newly formed wholesale bakery is using the underrated superfood, the sweet potato to bake delectable creative desserts. Yams Foods, owner began her baking career 2 years ago. Prior to that, she had never baked anything. Yams Foods was inspired by the Christmas movie, The First Noelle. The star of the movie, Novi Brown was elated that her friend had brought her some of his mother’s sweet potato cookies. When Yams Foods owner heard this, she immediately began practicing baking sweet potato cookies. She practiced every week for 2 months before perfecting the recipe. Her desire to continue and her love for sweet potatoes was inspired by her grandmother who loved sweet potatoes so much, she ate a baked sweet potato daily. 

Yams Foods initially launched online selling to the public. Since that time, the response has been great!! People love our desserts. Interestingly most customers have never heard of sweet potato desserts. So, they are enthusiastic about trying the desserts. In just 1 year, Yams Foods has served hundreds of customers and expanded its menu. We have been on a heartfelt mission to delight taste buds and nourish souls. We aspire to inspire a love for sweet potatoes and contribute to a healthier world with every bite. The success of Yams Foods has allowed us to expand into the exciting world of wholesale. We are now marketing to bakeries and restaurants. 

Our vision at Yams Foods is to become the food of choice for bringing families together to help make memorable moments.  Yams Foods believes that sweet potato possibilities are endless, and we are always exploring new and exciting ways to incorporate sweet potatoes into our products. We put a spin on red velvet desserts by creating sweet potato chocolate chip red velvet cookies and red velvet donuts both topped with cream cheese. This fall, our new menu item is sweet potato smores cookies. 

We use real sweet potatoes and the finest ingredients in our desserts. Each dessert is made to perfection to bring a smile to your face and a delight to your taste buds.
