About
We are a small privately owned assisted living in Newnan, GA right off of Bullsboro. We only have 41 rooms, so every resident and staff member know each other and get along well! We have a total of 4 floors. The 1st, 3rd, and 4th floor are for our residents and are a part of the assisted living. The 2nd floor is The Caterpillar House, a daycare owned by the same person, Vic Young. The daycare and us partner weekly for activities. The residents and children do book readings, parties, and different activities together at least 2x a week. With this being said that is one of the major highlights that our residents enjoy!
The first floor has a total of 11 rooms and is our main party floor! We have an activity room on this floor, along with a bar, soda shop, movie theater, salon, and physical therapy room. All Birthday parties and special occasions with live music are held on this floor as it has a big open area for the residents to dance. Ice cream and movies are always available to our residents any time of day.
The third floor is our dining room, we have 18 rooms on this floor. Every resident comes out for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner to socialize with each other and make connections! Friendship and connections are something that we push at our community, we are a family. Meals times are at 8AM, 12PM, and 5PM. If your loved one is not an early riser we will bring room service for Breakfast, however we try not to do room service for lunch or dinner unless they are sick. This floor also has a library with a table that a lot of the women do puzzles on.
The fourth floor is our "Quiet" floor. It has a library. Also, the residents will have book reading at along with StoryTime for the Caterpillars! We also have our rooftop access on the fourth floor. On the rooftop we have a solarium along with raised garden beds for the residents to garden during the summer and fall. It has tables with umbrellas and cushioned seats for the residents to get some Vitamin D and relax! During the summer we normally have an amazing Summer Luau on the rooftop!
Our rooms do not have a kitchen in them. They are more so a studio or dorm like apartment with a bathroom and living area. If you look on our website, you can see what one of our rooms looks like set up. Your loved one can have anything they want in their room. A lot of the residents have a mini fridge, microwave, and more in their rooms to make it feel like home. One reason we don't have a kitchen is to make sure that the residents communicate and build relationships with others during mealtimes! It also helps ensure that the residents are safe in their apartments. Every apartment has the same layout, however there are about 5 rooms in the building that are bigger than the others, that is where the difference in rate occurs.
Our Basic room is $5500 per month with a $3500 nonrefundable move in fee
The Bigger Room is $6000 per month with a $3500 nonrefundable move in fee
We DO NOT go up on pricing based on her care needs. This is our FLAT rate, and it will only go up occasionally with the economy.
With that price per month, it includes the following: room, utilities, cable, internet, 3 meals a day, 2 snacks, activities, around the clock CNAs and Medication Aides, laundry services, and housekeeping.
- We do have a doctor for our facility, his name is Stanley Smith. He comes once a month and is on speed dial if we need him. He will help with any medication needs, and bloodwork to make sure that all levels are good! This is normally covered by insurance.
- We have a podiatrist that comes to our facility every 3 months to make sure their feet are properly cared for. That is normally covered by insurance.
- We have a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and Speech Therapist company that is here Monday-Friday! They would be able to help maintain mobility. As I tell the residents it is not always about meeting new goals, it is mainly about helping them to stay stable and independent as long as we can.
- We do have a hairstylist that comes out on Thursdays to do the residents' hair. She is not with our company so her services will be a separate charge that you will pay directly to her!
