Start Again Counseling, LLC

As a behavioral health professional, educator, and advocate, I seek innovative ways to provide care for individuals seeking help with their addiction and anger. My approach is based on understanding “whole-person,” not just the challenges or diagnoses a person faces. I believe everyone can "start again" when there is an obstacles in our lives.

My name is Lakieshia Jones, and a Board-Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Georgia as well as an International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and the Founder of Start Again Counseling, LLC. I have worked in the addictions and mental health profession for over 15+ years. In addition, I am a university professor, in which I teach adult learners who aspire to become addiction professionals.

In my practice, I provide outpatient substance use counseling services to those affected by other addictions. I also provide substance abuse and anger management evaluations for those involved with the judicial system.

I am a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) in which I work with employee's who have violated the U.S. DOT Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations (49CFR, Part 40) by failing a random or pre-employment drug and alcohol test. 

My specialization involves the treatment of individuals who desire recovery from Addiction and Mental Health Issues or who have experienced unfortunate circumstances due to an arrest or employment issue.
