The Oil Lamp Restaurant has been a Perry favorite for good, honest Southern cooking. Located on General Courtney Hodges Blvd right across from the Georgia National Fairgrounds, we serve home-cooked comfort food the way it's meant to be made: fresh, from scratch, and in portions that send you home full.

Our goal every day is simple: cook food that's fresh, flavorful, and in season, and serve it in a warm, family-friendly place where locals, fairgoers, and folks passing through all feel at home. We were proud to be named one of Georgia's "100 Plates Locals Love," and we work hard to keep earning that title every day.

Our Specialties

• Southern comfort food. Fried and smothered chicken, tender beef, creamy mashed potatoes with gravy, fresh pan-seared green beans, homemade sides, and warm yeast rolls, with sweet tea to wash it down.
• Fast, hearty lunch and dinner. Our serving line gets you a full plate quickly, which makes us a go-to for workers on lunch break, families, and fair crowds.
• Catering and events. We cater weddings, rehearsal dinners, church and corporate events, and family gatherings of 200 guests or more. Our buffet packages include entrées such as beef medallions in red wine reduction or smothered chicken, plus sides, rolls, and drinks. Our staff handles serving, refills, silverware, and setup so you can enjoy your event.
• Local and family-run. We're part of the Perry and Houston County community, and we treat every guest like a neighbor.
