RIVERDALE, GA, October 14, 2021, Youssef Barber has been inducted into Marquis Who’s Who. As in all

Youssef was born in Egypt on January 6, 1989 and at the early age of 8 months old his parents moved to the United

States. As an adolescent he developed a talent for cutting and styling hair. Upon turning 16, he apprenticed for a

local barber and subsequently passed the State Board Examinations to receive a Master Barber License.

Additionally, he obtained an Associate’s Degree from Prince George’s Community College.

After establishing himself in the industry for several years, Youssef opened Diamond Cuts Barber Studio in

Atlanta, Georgia, through which he has developed a client list of high-profile celebrities, music artists and

professional athletes. As an accomplished professional in his field, he developed a Curling Sponge based on an

African technique to twist hair, which he modernized by attaching a sponge with groove patterns to a handheld

brush. Additionally, Youssef invented a Multi-Clipper Charger that charges all cordless clippers.

Known for his Big Chops and Hair Transformations the social media sensation, Youssef Barber AKA “The Dread

Butcher” has garnered hundreds of millions of views across the following platforms: Instagram, TikTok and

Facebook.

Currently, Youssef’s shops employ 13 barbers and 2 stylists. For his efforts over the years, he was presented with

the Style Icon Award from Rolling Out Magazine and was named amongst the Top 50 Barbers in the United States

for two consecutive years. He has also been recognized amongst the Top 10 Barbers in Atlanta and has competed in

and won several barber competitions. In 2019, Youssef business was named as the Barbershop Of The Year, and he

personally received a Product Of The Year Award.

As a well-respected professional, Youssef has also worked on television show sets such as SNL, Jimmy Kimmel,

The Ellen Show and David Letterman as well as several Netflix series and televised award shows. In addition, he

has instructed numerous classes and panels throughout the United States and Virgin Islands. He was featured on

major networks such as CNN, Vice TV and CBS. Most notably, nominated for Best of GA by GA Business Journal.

Throughout the course of his career, Youssef has attributed his professional success to his self-taught skills. He has

worked diligently to expand his knowledge by attending hair shows and advancing his education in his field.
