Webb Military Museum

Savannah is one of America’s most historic cities. There are many museums in Savannah, but not a military artifact museum. That is why I wanted to set one up. I have been collecting military items since I was 10 years old while living in Germany in the mid-1960s. My father was a career Air Force Officer with 33 years active duty in the military. However, I got interested in military history from my Mother. She was born and raised in downtown London, England. When WW II started she was 13 years old and experienced 5 years of bombings and rocket attacks from the Germans. It was her personal stories that got me interested in history.

My museum is all about military history, but on a personal level. I have many items, but the items I feature in this museum are ones with a story to tell. I want the visitors to my museum to come out having a personal attachment to the people who wore the uniforms, hats and medals.
