About

Coastal GA Indicators Coalition (CGIC) is the responsible organization for the development and, with partners the implementation of the Chatham Community Blueprint.  CGIC has strength and capacity related to leadership, management, systems, and partnerships:

  1. Leadership and Community Engagement: With over 120 partners who are actively engaged, CGIC has established project teams with co-chairs. This demonstrates a commitment to effective leadership and the involvement of individuals who can guide and facilitate work related to the Blueprint. These leaders play a vital role in keeping the teams focused on making a positive impact.
  2. Strategic Management: CGIC takes a strategic approach by reviewing strategies, recording activities, and with partners, implementation of Blueprint plans. We utilize benchmarks as an approach to organize project management, planning and achievement.
  3. Transparent Process: CGIC focuses on building networks, leveraging resources, and increasing partnerships through a transparent process.  Transparency fosters trust among partners and ensures decisions are made with input from the community and stakeholders.
  4. Documentation and Reporting: Producing the Chatham Community Blueprint Status Report aligns with recommendations and provides a clear overview of priority issue area indicators, vision statements, and goals. This documentation is crucial for accountability, decision-making, and communicating progress to stakeholders.
  5. Resource Alignment: CGIC actively works to align systems, policy, program and resource allocation as defined in the Blueprint. This demonstrates commitment by CGIC partners and community stakeholders to use resources efficiently and effectively to achieve the outlined goals.
  6. Collaboration and Partnerships: Local government, planning organizations, sponsors, and partners use the Blueprint as a guide for decision-making processes and priorities.  We continue to foster cross-agency collaboration and engagement with a broad network of stakeholders. This collaborative approach leads to broad implementation of Blueprint strategies.

 

CGIC exhibits strengths in leadership, strategic management, transparency, documentation, resource alignment, and collaboration. These strengths contribute to successful implementation of the Chatham Community Blueprint to address significant issues in the community effectively.
