In 2004 Innovative Health & Benefits Solutions was started by Jim Thornton. Jim previously served as the Director of Managed Care for a local Savannah based hospital system. His strong desire to improve the access for individuals and businesses to affordable and quality health insurance products led to the creation of his company. 

Based in Savannah, Georgia we have grown to serve in four states: Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee. Our staff is dedicated to you, your family and business owners by providing access to all quality carriers and related services available. 

In 2021 our company expanded when Jim's oldest son Trice relocated his family back to the Savannah area. Trice now leads our newest division, Thornton Insurance Partners, which offers personal Property and Casualty insurance for your home, auto, boat and business.
