About

The Mission of the Forsyth Farmers’ Market is to promote understanding of and participation in a local food system that supports sustainable production and increases access to local products.

We achieve this by supporting local growers, producers and consumers, especially those with low access to fresh, affordable food.

The Forsyth Farmers Market is open every Saturday throughout the year from 9 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine. On a weekly basis, we have over 60 local vendors, with a focus on local farmers from within a 200 mile radius.  They arrive before dawn every Saturday to offer a diverse array of fresh, locally sourced produce and products.

Forsyth Farmers' Market (FFM) is a non-profit organization. Our producer only policy for our Saturday Market requires vendors to produce 75% of the products that they sell. FFM also doubles SNAP dollars at the Saturday Market through a partnership with Wholesome Wave of Georgia, enabling those who utilize SNAP to supplement their food budgets (including seniors and young families) to double the amount of fresh produce they are able to purchase.

In addition to doubling SNAP dollars, FFM also provides assistance to those who need help applying for SNAP. Assistance is offered in both English and Spanish.

FFM also offers a 912 Food Farmacy program, which, in 2025, enrolled over 100 participants in its "food as medicine" programming, offering nutrition education and financial incentives to enable low-income individuals at high risk for chronic disease to purchase fresh food.

FFM is grateful to our non-profit partners and the Savannah community for supporting our efforts to support local farmers and the health of all of our residents throughout the year.
