Early Literacy Development Agency (ELDA)
ELDA's target market are families and educational programs that support after-school, home-school, and early childhood. These families and programs include, children, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, teachers, and multi-media specialist. Because we've collected over 500 titles that represent multicultural communities our products will meet the needs of home libraries, classroom teachers & multi-media specialist who offer independent reading as well as group read-alouds.
ELDA impacts its community in a variety of ways, such as, Christmas and Easter. ELDA hold's community read-alouds for children and families. These read-alouds included each child going home with a FREE book and a holiday gift bag with goodies. In addition, we've extended the offer of read-alouds to our neighboring daycare centers and home school groups. We support local/independent authors by hosting them to do book signing events inside our store. Moreover, ELDA seeks to do more to outreach in the community by curating events or partnering with and supporting other programs that promote literacy. We hope to plant the seeds of early literacy, nurture and foster the development of literacy for all ages.
Cynthia Shambry finds great joy in spending time with family. She is a highly qualified, advance professional licensed teacher, specializing in 21st century teaching practices. She’s taught both nationally & internationally.
Ms. Shambry’s a published author in an international magazine Teach Middle East: “5 Things Parents Can Do to Instill A Love of Learning In Their Children” and a co-author “Finding Freedom in Forgiveness” in “No More Silence You Too Can Rise”. She’s traveled to many countries, made new discoveries about teaching and learning from her journey. Even more, she’s the owner and operator of Early Literacy Development Agency (Bookstore) where she specializes in literacy development. She supports academic development and parent coaching through her tutoring services.
