About

The museum houses buildings from 1861 through 1890s, a dogtrot house, a one-room school, a log cabin, a working blacksmith/wheelwright shop, a grist mill, 5-seat women's outhouse on the grounds.  The main building houses a political memorabilia of George L. Smith, II, Speaker of Georgia House of Representatives, and a medical collection of his brother Dr. Henry Wilder Smith.  There are Swainsboro High School senior class pictures from 1940s through 1980s along with WW I and WW II memoribilia, items from various businesses of the county, a large Coca-Cola collection.  A lot to see.
