Greatest Generation Memorial Park

The City of Thomaston opened the Greatest Generation Memorial Park on November 4, 2010.  The playground, walking trails, tennis courts, pickleball courts, disc golf, and events make our park a great asset to Thomaston.  We also have a beautiful pavilion overlooking the fountain pond, kid's interactive fountain, green space, playground, and it can be rented for gatherings.  It's used for family gatherings, weddings, gender reveals, birthday parties, picnics, school events, banquets, and so much more. We have community events that bring people from all around the area. The events include the Art & Soul Fest, Freedom Fest, Christmas Lane Market, Kid's Fishing Derby, Public Fishing Day, and Senior Fishing.  The Pines at the Park, disc golf is an 18-hole course that has really taken off and people come from everywhere to play. The kid's interactive fountain is a big attraction during the summer months for kids to play in the water and cool off.  Pickleball has also become a big sport and our courts are always full of pickleball lovers. Thomaston couldn’t ask for a better park for our community and we welcome everyone to visit.
