Brookwood Christian School

Brookwood Christian is a small private school serving special needs students with language processing disorders such as dyslexia.  Many of our students have one or more learning disabilities which cannot be addressed in public school using traditional methods. Our curriculum and small class sizes give our students an environment in which they can learn. 

Those who are not proficient readers are 4x more likely to drop out of school than those who are proficient, setting them up for a lifetime of struggles and potential poverty. If we can get each child to his/her maximum reading potential, we can greatly reduce the likelihood of these struggles in an area with 20% of the population lacking basic literacy skills and a poverty rate over 10%.
