Visionary Healing Center for Wellness

Established in 2018, Visionary Healing Center offers Acupuncture,  Esoteric Acupuncture, and energy healing as well as Floatation Therapy and Lifestyle Medicine (nutrition counseling and  mindfulness based stress reduction coaching). Our goal is to help people live healthier and pain-free lives through the  reduction of  mental, emotional and physical pain. The modalities of healing we use are chosen to stimulate the body’s own amazing ability to repair itself. 

Our mission is to help heal our patients, our communities, and ourselves through the work we perform at our clinic and in our local community. Our goal is to treat each other and every patient with the respect and care they deserve. We believe our patients’ care is of great importance, and we provide our patients with the best quality of care  through our services.

Each session of Acupuncture begins with deep listening to attain an understanding of the source of the symptoms. Acupuncture needles and other modalities such as moxabustion, tui na, cupping, zero point balancing, cranial sacral therapy, reiki, sound/vibration therapy are employed to achieve a state of relief and balance. Clients receive specific dietary and lifestyle recommendations from a trained practitioner and are encouraged to use our Floatation Tank for the recovery and rest it provides.

Biography

David Jones, Dipl. MS, LAc. is a Licensed Acupuncturist, a Graduate of The Tri State College of Acupuncture as well as a Diplomate of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. David has 35 years experience in the Healing Arts as well as the fine arts. David holds advanced degrees in both Fine Arts and Science. David was a Prof. of Fine Arts at colleges as varied as The Maine College of Art and The Culinary Institute of America before devoting all of his energy to the practice of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He specializes in Psycho-Physiological Release which is a Therapy applied to those suffering with Mental Health Issues such as PTSD.

Lisa Jones, Culinary Nutrition Educator and Floatation Center Manager

Lisa is a graduate of Yale University and The T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition at Cornell University. She has been a CNE with 22 years of experience. Lisa works with clients to teach healthy shopping, cooking, and eating practices. She works with David to establish an understanding of clients’ symptoms and underlying conditions; she then customizes a nutrition plan to help them achieve optimal health.

Lisa also manages the Floatation Tank part of Visionary Healing. Floatation Therapy is promising for PTSD sufferers with many clinical trials in process. It also serves those with Anxiety and Sleep Disorders as well as those who suffer from Chronic Pain.
