Coastal Coalition for Children

Coastal Coalition for Children is a nonprofit organization that has been in operation since 2003. We have three specific programs.

Our mission is to ensure that families have the tools they need to provide safe and stable homes for their children. 

We accomplish our mission through First Steps, our information and referral system for mothers and fathers prenatally as well as those with newborns.  If families want to access our services, they are enrolled in Healthy Families, a home visitation service using an evidence-based curriculum (Growing Great Kids ®). By giving parents the information they need, they will bond with their infants and toddlers and as those children grow they will be on-track and ready for school. (Healthy Families is a signature program of Prevent Child Abuse America).

And last but not least, we are one of a handful of organizations in Georgia that offer support to grandparents raising their grandchildren. Grandparent Connection, like Healthy Families provides an evidence based curriculum (Triple P ®) for families who need more intensive support. We also offer legal assistance, support groups, tutoring for those children behind in school and therapy services for both grandparents and children as needed.

We serve Glynn, Camden, McIntosh, Brantley, Chatham, Liberty and Effingham counties.
