Roots Down is a unique firm that focuses on how to better our whole environment and integrate urban agriculture programs in a way that everyone in the community will want to take part in. We envision a world where food is abundant, local, and grown as a result of community effort, where the landscapes we pass by in our communities every day are beneficial to environmental wellbeing, where food security is a human right, and where farming is considered a public service.

Roots Down works with cities, communities, landscaping companies, and organizations to address glaring issues with the current urban agriculture model by redefining what landscapes look like. We achieve this by creating robust models of Productive Urban Landscapes in a myriad of settings, training people to tend these landscapes, and sharing this training with communities everywhere.
