About
The Turner Center for the Arts is a regional cultural anchor featuring 17,000 square feet of gallery, classroom, and creative learning space, an art library, computer lab, and an exceptional gift shop. At the heart of the facility are seven vibrant, thoughtfully designed gallery spaces presenting more than 20 rotating visual art exhibitions each year, encompassing diverse genres, artists, and perspectives while inviting meaningful engagement and dialogue. The galleries also serve as welcoming gathering spaces for community events, private celebrations, musical performances, literary and art fairs, educational programs, and countless experiences that bring people together through the arts. Surrounding the main gallery building is a dynamic arts campus that includes a pottery studio, glass arts studio, art annex, Art Park, and the 10,000-square-foot Meta Shaw Coleman Children’s Imagination Station, an innovative STEAM learning environment that expands access to creativity, exploration, and career pathways. Together, the galleries and Campus welcome and engage more than 80,000 people annually from across South Georgia, North Florida, and beyond, enriching the quality of life by creating opportunities for people of all ages to experience, participate in, and connect through the arts.
