Waves Autism Center

Thank you so much for the nomination to be a part of the Georgia Business Journal's Best of Georgia! We are grateful for the opportunity to create opportunities for hope and a future for our students! Here at Waves Autism Center we serve those that are neurodivergent learners. We offer in-person and online social and life groups to help our students connect with others that have similar interests and challenges. We offer several different pathways to help our students to become more independent at home, in the workplace, as an entrepreneur, and/or in a secondary or post-secondary school setting. 

We also offer career exploration groups, workplace readiness, work-based learning, self-advocacy, and post-secondary exploration for those ages 14 to 22 that are in high school. We also offer workplace readiness, job sampling, and job coaching for those that have graduated and are seeking to enter the workplace. Each summer we offer our Waves Summer Workshops for ages 14 to 22 that are in high school and our Waves Workplace Readiness Workshops for ages 14 to adult.

At Waves we offer culinary, art studio, graphic design, and computer basic workshops throughout the year to help our students learn new skills for a new hobby, work, or to prepare to further their education. Since 2020 we host our annual Waves Holiday Marketplace in November. This is a time that our students can share their small business that they have created to sell the things that they have made or a service that they will offer to help them become a valuable part of our community, network with other entrepreneurs, and have the opportunity to meet new clients leading to hope and a future.
