Winder Legacy Park

Winder Legacy Park is the premier destination playground and park in North Georgia!  Featuring the 28-foot Barrowsaurus, a unique rope-climbing pyramid, Winder Legacy Park is the place to play for children and families throughout the area.  The playground features state-of-the-art play structures that are fun for kids of all ages and abilities.  Swings, carousel, teeter-totter, slide, climbing structures and a zipline create a fun time for all!  The 1/3-mile concrete walking track is perfect for a quick workout, and the covered pavilions offer great places to rest and enjoy. 

The $5M+ park is the result of an effective public-private partnership led by the Barrow Community Foundation and Barrow County School System.  The City of Winder and the Barrow County Board of Commissioners are key partners along with many private investors including the Philip and Shellie Gossling Foundation, Akins Ford, Harrison Poultry, Northeast Georgia Health System, Republic Services and 60+ others.  

Phase 2 will be underway soon, which will bring the addition of a splashpad, dog parks, a food truck court, sports courts, a bioswale, tree house, reading nooks and more.
