Honey Bee’s Granola

My name is Shira and I am a home baker living with a TBI. I started my home granola business 3 years ago, because it was such a struggle to find a company that would work with my disability. 

Instead of feeling completely defeated and giving up, I decided to take a different path and focus on where my skills really were-which were in the kitchen. I grew up as a young girl, baking with my mother and my grandmother all the time. My grandmother, her name was Beatrice, aka Bee, inspired my business. She was an extremely strong woman who believed in doing everything the right way for the right reasons- standing out for people who couldn’t stand up for themselves, giving back to charity and helping the community as best as she always could- no matter what it took.

 As my business grows, I wanna be able to get back to the community and help those that need help the most. I wanna grow my business and open a bakery that hires people with disabilities and gives people who need it a chance.

 I’m about be a wife and a mom, and I want to expand my business to help my family and my future grow.
