Granny’s Sweet Petals is a home cottage bakery in Wray,Ga specializing in handcrafted floral cupcakes, cupcake bouquets, and custom cakes. Each buttercream flower is individually piped by hand, transforming cupcakes and cakes into beautiful, edible works of art for birthdays, weddings, showers, anniversaries, sympathy gifts, celebrations, and those “just because” moments.

For owner and baker Denise Merritt, this is much more than simply decorating a cupcake—it is an art. Every petal, leaf, color, and arrangement is thoughtfully created by hand. From delicate roses and peonies to hydrangeas, ranunculus, sunflowers, and other buttercream blooms, each creation is designed to look as beautiful as it tastes.

What began as a love for learning the art of buttercream flowers has grown into Granny’s Sweet Petals, where individual floral cupcakes are transformed into bouquets, baskets, and arrangements that can be given much like a bouquet of fresh flowers—but with the added sweetness of being completely edible.

Denise takes pride in giving each order personal attention, knowing that many are created for some of life’s most meaningful moments. Her goal is to create something that doesn’t just taste delicious, but makes the recipient feel special the moment they see it.
