Art in the Park

Art in the Park

Finding a fun, creative way to spend your weekend can be a challenge, but this August, it’s a walk in the park…literally!

The Piedmont Park Arts Festival is back August 16-17, bringing two full days of color, community, and creativity to Midtown Atlanta. From handmade goods to local tunes, it’s a chance to support homegrown talent, connect with neighbors, and enjoy the city at its most vibrant.

Stroll past booths filled with handcrafted oil paintings, avant-garde pottery, metal and leather work, blown glass, and more. It’s not just browsing—it’s a backstage pass into the creative process. Catch artists demoing their crafts live and in-person, then stroll through the Emerging Artists Pavilion for a firsthand look at fresh talent rolling out new work.

If you're bringing the whole crew, there’s a children’s play area with crafts and creative activities to keep younger festivalgoers happy. Food trucks will be serving up classic festival fare and healthy alternatives, and you’ll also find beer and wine tents throughout the park.

What’s an art festival without tunes? As you wander through the park, you’ll hear live acoustic sets from local artists, laid-back performances tucked between tents, and maybe even a surprise pop-up or two. The lineup is intentionally low-key, creating the perfect soundtrack for a sunny day of art, food, and community.

And if you’re not in the market for a new masterpiece, Piedmont Park is a work of art in and of itself. There’s plenty of space to spread out on a picnic blanket, take a break between booths, or just enjoy the Midtown skyline while the music drifts by. It’s the kind of setting that invites you to slow down, stay a little longer, and enjoy the rhythm of the weekend.

The best part? Admission is free and open to all. So whether you leave with a new painting or a camera roll full of memories, the Piedmont Park Arts Festival is a feel-good way to close out the summer and celebrate the creative energy that makes Atlanta tick.
