Blue Suede Beats by the Beach!

St. Simon’s Island is about to get all shook up! The Georgia Elvis Festival is rolling into town December 4-6, lighting up the Strickland Auditorium at Epworth By The Sea with sequins, sideburns, and that unmistakable Presley charm.

Elvis Tribute Artists including Cote Deonath, David Lee, and Cody Slaughter lead a stacked lineup paying homage to every chapter of the King’s career. Themed shows like Heartbreak Hotel revisit the early days when Elvis changed the sound of music, while Elvis 70’s Mania brings the big belts, swagger, and powerhouse vocals of his Vegas years. The weekend even hits a festive note with the Elvis Christmas Show, where holiday hits get a little Southern soul and plenty of sparkle.

But the fun doesn’t stop when the curtain falls. The festival’s Elvis Welcome Party gets things rolling with live music, dancing, and maybe a few surprise cameos from performers. Between shows, fans can test their Presley knowledge at trivia, browse memorabilia tables, or chat with the tribute artists who’ve spent years perfecting every hip swivel and growl. The after-show mingle is the place to be once the lights dim: a casual hangout where everyone’s swapping stories, comparing rhinestones, and soaking up those last good vibrations.

Out on the island, the energy spills past the auditorium. Restaurants serve up themed specials, bars mix peanut butter banana cocktails, and speakers along the streets echo with Elvis tunes. It’s a weekend where you might bump into an “Elvis” grabbing coffee, another one posing for selfies on the pier, and a crowd of fans singing along like it’s 1956 again.

The Georgia Elvis Festival has become one of the state’s most spirited celebrations of music and nostalgia, a place where the King’s legacy lives loud and proud. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just in it for the glitter and good times, this is one Georgia weekend you’ll want on your calendar!
