Ever wondered what happens when you touch a human brain, control a jet engine, or program a robot to dance? No, this isn’t some futuristic fever dream—it’s just another day at the Atlanta Science Festival.
From March 8–22, Atlanta goes full mad scientist mode with mind-blowing experiments, hands-on tech, and live demos that’ll have your inner science nerd geeking out. The grand finale? A massive, can’t-miss Science Expo on March 22 at Piedmont Park.
Two Weeks of Science, One Big Discovery
The Atlanta Science Festival is basically a citywide Bill Nye episode come to life. For two weeks, 100+ events take over labs, parks, and museums, turning Atlanta into a playground for curious minds.
Tinker with robots, explore space tech, and dive into hands-on experiments in everything from bioengineering to wearable tech.
Saving the ocean, one LEGO at a time! Build coral reefs, learn how these tiny bricks mimic real marine restoration, and bring an underwater world to life. Tickets required!
Step into the jungle—minus the plane ticket. Meet live animals, check out carnivorous plants, and get hands-on with science fun the whole family will love.
Step inside one of the most advanced cancer treatment centers in the world and see how high-energy proton beams target tumors with pinpoint accuracy. No PhD required, but you do have to register ahead of time.
The grand finale. Piedmont Park turns into a giant lab with 100+ interactive exhibits where you can extract DNA, control a prosthetic hand with your mind, and meet real-life scientists (who are way cooler than your high school chemistry teacher, unless he’s Walter White). It’s free, it’s hands-on, and it’s the most fun you’ll ever have learning something new.
