This year, the new hub will bring new life and excitement to the ever-expanding West Midtown neighborhood. And what better way to kick off this budding space than with some fresh Atlanta-based restaurants? Westside Paper recently announced its first four eateries: Girl Diver, Pancake Social, Boxcar Betty’s and Glide Pizza!
From pizza to brunch to Vietnamese, all four of these original concepts are up-and-comers in the Atlanta dining scene and bring a fresh twist to their cuisine. Get ready to dig in and learn more about these soon-to-be staples!
This Atlanta-grown restaurant dishes out traditional Vietnamese cuisine with a modern, creative twist. This Westside Paper location will be avid restauranteur and chef Richard Tang’s second, in addition to Girl Diver Westside in the Reynoldstown neighborhood. Foodies can look forward to delectable dishes like crispy Brussels, fried beef dumplings, pad prik king and shaking beef while enjoying Girl Diver’s refined, modern atmosphere. This Westside Paper spot is expected to open in mid-summer or late fall 2022.
With an all-day breakfast menu, a built-in coffeehouse and an all-star team of owners, Pancake Social is bound to be a fan favorite! Tony Riffel (formerly of Octane Coffee), Dan Jacobson (formerly of Chick-fil-A) and Steven Chan of Tin Drum Asian Kitchen are bringing this Westside Paper location to life, three years after Pancake Social’s first location opened in prime dining hub Ponce City Market. The modern, family-friendly spot will offer brunch items all day long, from eggs and waffles to macchiatos and mimosas—and of course, pancakes! Brunch lovers can look forward to the location’s expected opening date of June 2022.
This fast-growing staple is taking the fried chicken sandwich scene by storm! With locations currently in Charleston, Charlotte, Chicago and Buckhead, this Westside Paper restaurant will be in great company. Boxcar Betty’s combines casual American classics with Southern comfort food charm and a fun atmosphere. Mark your calendar and get ready for dishes like fried chicken sandwiches, smash burgers and salads with sassy toppings like peach slaw, pimiento cheese, fried green tomatoes and Kentucky beer cheese.
This Atlanta-based joint takes pizza back to the basics, offering classic New York-style slices, tried-and-true toppings and an emphasis on convenience. The Westside Paper installment—opening in summer 2022—will be Glide Pizza’s third location, with one already thriving in Irwin Street Market and another coming to Decatur early this year. Glide Pizza puts quality and freshness first with their house-made mozzarella, fresh tomato sauce made daily and unique half-sourdough crust fermented for 48 hours. The Westside Paper restaurant will be to-go focused, offering convenient seating and delivery service via bicycle.
